The Lincoln Rocker...

As promised here is the Lincoln rocker.  It was already in good shape, but we added the tufts and used a mohair velvet off the floor in Rockville.  Notice how we did the underside of the rocker too.  It really turned out better than I could have hoped.

Before and After...

I am so pleased with how this sofa turned out that I thought I would share it with you.  My client wanted something as close as possible to the original (well once I assured her the cleaning wouldn't be an option).  I think the velvet looks near perfect.

If you look at the bottom right you can see the springs and webbing.

This is a great looking frame, and a definite keeper.

Sure it took a bit of work but look at it now.

Well worth the effort.

I also have a Lincoln rocker to show you, but maybe I will save that for the next update.  Remember if you have a piece to be reupholstered we are more than happy to speak to you about it.  We do more than just sell the fabric.

Recent Bedding and a Surprise...

Here are a couple of pictures of bedding I have done recently.  The first is one of two matched sets for a girl's room.  Headboard slipcovers and a table cloth/topper will finish out the picture.  There is also a chair and window treatment, if anyone would like to see them.

Very cute, but not too young.  they'll be able to keep this for a long time.

 This second picture is of a guest bedroom which NOBODY will ever be allowed to use.  That's right, don't even look at that silk with a glass in your hand.  There is also a chair I did in here.  Pics upon request.

Something special...

It is not too often that I go down to the Washington Design Center.  Two, maybe three times a year I have reason to go.  In part it is because I have so many of the same resources in my own library, and also the reps will send me anything I need without having to take the day to drive down.  That being said I had need to go today.  My Fabricut (Vervain/S Harris/Stroheim and Romann/Trend/etc) rep Judy was pulling a few things for a very special project I'm working on and I went down to pull a few things myself.  I will probably post most of the work on one of my other blogs (http://formaltraditional.blogspot.com/) but I thought some of these were so nice that I would share them with everyone on this list. 

Now I know these pieces aren't to everyone's taste (and really what is), but imagine them in a very Formal and Traditional French setting.  Not Provence (country French) more Versailles.  If you really want to treat look up my post on the other blog on Aaron Radlow's Pierre Gole tables.

Here are a few pictures from my install this morning.  This is a double sided very long french pleated velvet room divider.  It is made in three sections, and is HAND drawn.  Can you believe it?  I has just about every challenge you can throw in.  Double sided, with trim, hand draw, ceiling mount, with a curve...
